U.S.A.: Thames Manufacturing Company, $100 shares, 18[25], #78, black. Incorporated in Connecticut in 1823 with mill at Norwich. Cotton spinning and weaving but was later offering nails and brads on a regular basis. A large fire destroyed the factory in 1842 but it was still employing about 250 persons in 1848. VF and scarce.
