A large Chinese gilt and iron red overglaze painted charger, 19th century. Decorated with bats and Shòu symbols amongst flowers and scrolling foliage enclosed by a cicada border. Provenance: Hungarian art dealer Imre Schwaiger’s label to reverse as illustrated. 40.3 cm diameter.
Condition report: Some surface wear with age. Chip/hairline to rim as illustrated.
