A 19th century Japanese Tanto short sword, blade with engraved dragon on one side and a cherry blossom tree on the other, with gilt and black shibuichi tsuba with leaf decoration, and black tsuka-ito wrapped handle over gilt metal menuk, with black lacquered scabbard, blade 31cm long, 42.5cm long overall (damages to scabbard and small chips to blade edge)
