A FIRST WORLD WAR SAXON ULAN FELT HELMET. An unusual Saxon Ulan helmet in thick grey felt body, large brass and nickel helmet plate with crest within a wreath and crown border mounted on a many pointed star, with a brown leather chin strap with painted Reichs cockade to one side and large green and white felt cockade mounted to the flat-top. Internally with a worn brown leather liner, the remains of the issue stamp visible to the peak. 18cm tall, 23cm front to back. *CR: Slight moth marks, slight differences in colour across the felt and slightly out of shape ... but a fine example/. *BP 22.5% (18.75% plus VAT) plus a lot fee of £8 inc.
