A Japanese Satsuma vase, Meiji period, of tapering hexagonal form, the shoulder with diaper panels on a gilt scale ground, above panels of deities and Rakan, signed Hododa, 15.5cm; and a late Meiji period tapering cylindrical vase, with a panel of young boys with gilt fans and a panel of boys with scrolls and instruments, between moriage flowers, unsigned, 20.5cm

Condition report: Both with some minor gilt rubbing otherwise no obvious visible faults.
