NEW YORK of rectangular form, the lid applied with a central cartouche depicting winged cherubs holding a crowned oval medallion within pierced scrolling foliate decoration and grimacing masks to the corners, the sides similarly decorated. The hinged lid opening to reveal a chrome-lined divided interior with lift-up lid having matching central gilt cartouche - maker's inscription to the hinge (42cm wide 32cm deep)
