U.S.A./FRANCE/SWITZERLAND/SPAIN - FOUR UNDERPAID COVERS WITH BOXED "F./30" OR "GB/40C" MARKS: 9 Sep. 1865 EL from New York to St-Imier, Switzerland "par Steamer 'City of Boston'" with square "F./30" accountancy mark (v. fine) on the front with New York cds ("PONTARLIER-N-BERNE" T.P.O & St Imier cds on reverse). 28 May 1872 underpaid env. from Boston to Paris franked by 1870-71 2c Red-Brown & 3c Green (both without grills, faults) with "GB/40C" mark (fine) on the front ("SHORT PAID" mark on reverse). 31 Jan 1857 EL from New York to Paris with "GB/40C" mark (mostly fine) and "NEW-YORK/Am PKT" mark on front. 21 Mar. 1868 EL (stamp removed) from Madrid (contents) to Wohlen, Switzerland via London with "GB/40C" mark (fine). "PD" & "P.D." marks struck in error then obliterated by red crayon, and "50" inspector's numeral (missent to G.B.?).
