An early 19th century needlwork sampler, stitched 'Mary Soars finished this Work, Nov 23, 1807, Aged 10, and worked in colured silks with flora and moral verse within a floral border, 33x26cm, Condition: No moth damage and colours still good), in glazed frame. The reverse inscribed in ink with reference to Thomas Hardy of Lewisham (possibly the novelist and poet)
