Paul Philip Barraud was born in London in 1752, and came from a family of five children who were all horologists. He became Master of the Clockmaker's Company in 1810 and 1811 and died in 1820 when the manufacturing was taken over by his sons, John and Frederick.
The firm was renamed Barrauds & Lund in 1838 when J. Lund was taken into the partnership and remained active until 1884.
