A group of twenty one early 21st Century Military US challenge coins collected during the Afghanistan War by the vendor. Most date to 2008-9. Notable coins include those from: First Naval Construction Regiment; 82nd Combat Aviation Brigade; 20th Marine Expeditionary Brigade and others. Challenge coins are traditionally given into the hand of the recipient by higher ranking officers as a thank you or for acts of merit. Each between 3.8cm to 8.6cm diameter.(21)
