AN EXCELLENT SILK & WOOL ‘ZIEGLER’ PATTERN RUG, in beautiful deep red and cream tones in the ‘Ziegler’ pattern. Dimensions: 200cm x 140cm approx. More about the pattern: In 1883 Ziegler & Co, a textile company of Swiss origin based in Manchester, set up workshops in Arak, Iran, where Persian craftsmen produced rugs, using wool dyed in England. Zeigler went out of business but its designs from the end of the 19th century remain popular.
