A VERY RARE LATE 19TH CENTURY "TRADEMARK" GRAMOPHONE BY THE GRAMOPHONE COMPANY the very original and rare piece having a mahogany case with gold label reading "THE GRAMOPHONE COMPANY, 31 MAIDEN LANE, LONDON W.C. PATENTED ON GREAT BRITAIN, GERMANY, FRANCE, AUSTRIA, BELGIUM, ITALY' polished travelling arm with nickel-plated fittings and top-wind D motor numbered 111191 with original key, plain polished brass horn and stitched leather elbow - the base of the case has a serpentine mould to the back curved around the D motor (65cm wide 39cm high)
