A Swansea 'Marquis of Exeter' botanical lobed circular dish decorated in London with a thorny branch of dog rose with forget-me-nots beyond within an ornate gilt border of Neo-classical urns and scrollwork, impressed mark, 23.5cm [damaged]. Provenance: Sotheby's Lot 614, 23rd November 1998. Note: This pattern is almost identical to the Gosford Castle service but whereas that service is unmarked, the 'Marquis of Exeter' service bears impressed marks.
