TWO WHIELDON EARTHENWARE PLATES, mid 18th century, of silver shape, one with moulded gadrooned rim, the other with diaper, basket weave and scroll moulded rim, both in a tortoiseshell glaze, 9" and 9 1/2" diameter (Est. plus 24% premium inc. VAT)

Both crazed, gadrooned plate has misfired glaze on reverse of rim and small area of flaking to glaze centre top (close to two ochre spots). Diapered plate bears old collector's label "HCK Buckingham Pottery Collection, number 264", and has a couple of deep scratches to top centre
