ª Great Britain: Dr. Knox's Medical Products Limited, 10/- ordinary shares, 19[32], #21, signed by Sir William Veno and J. F. Emery as directors, black. Sir William Emery, 1866-1933, founded Veno's Cough medicine in 1898 and established the Veno Drug Company in Manchester. The company was sold to Beechams in 1925. This company offered a morning medicinal drink. Committed suicide in the grounds of his house in 1933 which was covered extensively in the press at the time. J. F. Emery was Mayor of Salford. VF and first time at auction.
