Star Lot: A fantastic large original oil on canvas painting by the artist Mary Ferris showing a dynamic scene of horses and jockeys embarking a steeple chase. Ferris does very well on both the primary and secondary market, with a good auction history. Housed in a thick ornate gilt frame.

Mary has lived for the majority of her life in the heart of the equestrian capital of Ireland: County Kildare. The predominant subject matter of Mary Ferris' oil based and watercolour works are equestrian scenes varying from farmyard through racing to hunting scenes. Mary's work is currently being exhibited on Merrion Square, Dublin 2, Leopardstown Racecourse enclosure and in Tuckmill Crafts in Naas, Co. Kildare.
