A 19TH CENTURY RUSSIAN SILVER AND NIELLO CIGARETTE CASE
Moscow 1884, assayer master probably Vasily Aleksandrovich Petrov, rectangular with rounded ends, the lid with a niello decorated scene of The Triumphal Gate on Tverskaya Zastava Square, the underside with a geometric pattern. 9.5cm long, 2.8 troy ounces
The maker's mark is rubbed (AAC?). The other marks are clear. The push button works well, and the cover opens and closes well. Some age-related surface wear but otherwise in good condition.
