Great Britain: Strand Bridge (Company of Proprietors of the), certificate for one share, London 18[09], #4242, black printing on vellum, gold paper seal to left depicting bridge. Designed by John Rennie and built between 1811 and 1817. Its name was changed from Strand Bridge to Waterloo Bridge in 1816 following the defeat of Napoleon the previous year. Opened by the Prince Regent in 1817. This structure was demolished in 1936 to make way for the present bridge. Some discolouration, AVF [R8]
