1855 Turkish Crimea Medal (Sardinian) named in neat upright capitals to Wm Hart 5th Dn Gds, suspension neatly replaced by clip and ring, about very fine. In Roy Dutton's book The Charge of the Heavy Brigade on 25th October 1854, he is recorded as "probably rode in the Charge". The musters show he was effective from 1st October to 24th November, 2nd and 3rd musters endorsed Scutari. Also issued Crime Medal with clasp Balaklava, Inkermann and Sebastopol. (R)
