Georges Dupre was a French medallist and sculptor in the 19th Century. This bronze plaque is of rectangular form with arched top depicting a farming scene of a man with his back to us, signed G. Dupres. To the other side a religious scene of a robed woman sat on a stone structure with cross / crucifix to top, holding a baby whilst looking out to sheeps in a field. Writing to top reads ' C'est l'angélus qui tinte et rappelle en tout lieu Que le matin des jours et le soir sont à dieu ' - It is the Angelus which rings and reminds everywhere that the morning of the day and the evening belong to God.
