A French Belle Épqoue lady's silver, enamel and bamboo walking cane, cast alto-relievo with a frieze of classical maidens above upright lotus leaves, the whole surmounted by a domed green enamel pommel engine-turned with C-scrolls and centred by an arabesque in tones of white, red and gilt, within a pearlesque cabachon border, brass walking tip, 90cm long, struck twice: F/S within a lozenge, probably Fernand Salarnier, Paris c. 1900
