2nd Life Guards Officers Summer Forage Cap of Lt. Col. Sir Morgan Crofton Bt. An extremely rare pre Great War example of the regimental pattern to be worn by Officers for hot weather use. The cap is tailored with a white cloth crown and body. The latter with scarlet band mounted with a gilt Second Life Guards cap badge; the chinstrap is retained by 2nd LG buttons. The interior with leather sweatband with gilt initials MC and tailors details of Hamburger Rogers & Co. Slight age and service wear retains a very good shape.
