A FINE COPY OF A 1796 PATTERN TARLETON HELMET. A fine replica of a 1796 Pattern Tarleton helmet of the Wiltshire Yeomanry, with black leather shell and peak, 'silver' Prince of Wales feathers to either side and band above the peak 'Yeomanry Cavalry', pleated red velvet band wound in 'silver' chain, short bullion fringe to the rear and elaborate 'bear skin, cresting. Approximately 35cm high, 36cm deep and 23cm wide. *CR: An attractive copy with convincing age related wear. *BP 22.5% (18.75% plus VAT) plus a lot fee of £8 inc. VAT on each lot.
