A fine Chinese rhinoceros horn ‘Ode to the Red Cliff’ libation cup, 17th/18th century, carved in high relief and open work with the figure of two men on a boat below an overhanging cliff with shrubs and a pine tree and clouds above them, the cup of toffee colour ranging to a deep caramel colour, 15.2cm long, 9.8cm high

Small chipped section to top, affecting tree-stem, approx. 4 x 3mm, clearly visible; further small chipped section at exterior, beneath a tree-stem; otherwise good.
