A very rare maritime related hallmarked silver fruit knife from the R.M.S Mendi hallmarked to 1907 by Walker & Hall of Sheffield. A near identical knife relating to the RMS Apapa sold in an auction in 2020 for £150. The RMS Mendi was a troopship by 1917 and was sunk in an accident in fog of the Isle of Wight 1917, 650 men perished. Any proceeds that is made from this lot including buyer and seller commissions will all go to RNLI charity.
