A Chinese hongmu scholar’s stand, 19 century,
decorated with key work scrolls when viewed in cross-section,
34 cm wide

Some of the joints are slightly loose and as expected the scrolls have warped slightly with age. There is an evidence of a glue repair to a slight split on one of the upper edges otherwise in good condition.
