£130
Approximately 89 World War One era postcards by the artist Donald McGill – all published by Joseph Asher and Co, of Ivy Lane, London, and printed in Saxony, as so many British postcards were before the war. Of these cards, 50 are postally unused and 39 have postmarks. Of those sent through the post, 16 cover the period from 1912-15, and also 1919; 11 1914-18 and the dates are unclear in the other 12. Most of the cards are in good collectable condition – but some have creasing and also minor faults such as corner knocks and edge wear.
