A Mid XIX century Black Lacquered Writing Box, with mother of pearl inset decoration to the lid, the interior with fold-out slope with inkwell, key present, 22 x 28cm.
Lot 1339 - 1) Cracking to lid and several areas of mother of pearl missing. 2) Cracks to front and areas which have been touched up. 3) Piece missing to back. 4) Interior has new orange papers and lizard effect. 5) Inkwell missing. 6) No knob to pen compartment. 7) New writing felt and border. 8) Restoration to edges.
