Intelligence officer's WW1 BWM and Victory Medal to Capt R.D. Macrae good very fine, modern court mounted for wear. With 50+ copied pages of research, a unique name and initials on MICs, Russell Duncan Macrae, enlisted in Royal Navy 12/11/14, discharged to take up duties as a Chaplain 25/12/14, was commissioned 11/1/15, transferred from West York Regt for Special Appointment 1/1/16 (papers show he was then working with fledgling Intelligence Corps), promoted Capt 1/5/18, late 1918 suffered from illness and on sick leave for over 3 months. MIC shows only issued a pair.
