The Volkswagen Golf Mk3 Cabriolet was introduced in 1994 for the 1995 model year, replacing the previous MK1 Golf based Cabriolet. It was facelifted in 1998 with the front, rear, and steering wheel styling from the Golf Mk4 while still maintaining the body from the Mk3 Cabriolet. These Cabriolets are often referred to as the Mk3.5 Cabriolets. The Volkswagen Golf Cabriolet was discontinued in 2002.
