A FIRST WORLD WAR GALLANTRY GROUP OF FOUR TO THE ROYAL ENGINEERS. A Great War group of four comprising Military Medal named to 126626 PNR F Palliser R.E. War Medal and Victory Medal to 126626 SPR F. Palliser R.E. and Special Constabulary Faithful Service medal to Fred Pallister. Fred Pallister from Abergavenny served with the 7th Corps Signal Company, Royal Engineers. He was awarded the Military Medal for Bravery in the Field, this was published in the London Gazette on the 19th August 1919, page 10570. There is some confusion in the spelling of his name on these medals but the number and Royal Engineers is consistent. His Medal Index card gives Fred Palliser. Not mounted. Generally good condition. Note inconsistency in naming of these medals.
