An impressive Russian or Continental silver oval swing handled fruit basket, initialled I I S, probably 18th century, having gilded bowl and pierced decoration, the handle engraved and initialled, 31.5 x 24.5cm.
Weight 1264g/40.6oz. Stands firm, split to one end of piercing. No major denting or repairs seen. Overall surface scratching and slight wear to gilding. Engraved decoration and initials to handle. Marks clear.
