A good George III figured mahogany serpentine fronted chest of drawers, the frieze drawer with a brushing slide opening to reveal a baize lined ratcheted surface and an arrangement of lidded compartments, the three further drawers with 19th century marbled paper lining, 115.5cm wide.

The top is warped, cracks to veneer near top rear edge of top on both right and left sides, a crack to rear left bracket foot, veneer loss around escutcheon of top drawer, section of moulding loss to frieze of third drawer down, several repairs to drawer edges with new veneer, several areas of damage to drawer edge moulder frieze, interior central baise covered easel has a curved warp, the largest interior square lid is warped, the baise is worn and dirty, the drawers do not close/push in completely, they seem to stick out just a little too much at front, general surface scratching /wear and denting due to age and use. In need of professional restoration to bring it back to its best. No key. All locks/handles and escutcheons are present. No woodworm seen. Bottom drawer seems fine.
