A RARE 17TH CENTURY GILT BRASS SEALING WAX HOLDER. dated 1653 and inscribed 'Thomas Stanfall, disce mori,' and 'I was in Sheffield made & many can prove that I was not made by any man'. Each end is hinged , one with seal of T.S. and a bird, with overall engraved and pricked decoration of flowers and acorns, 14 x 2 x 1.5cm.
