Family Group. OBE 2nd type Civil, with miniature in case of issue, GVF (this was awarded to Oscar C Waygood, an Electrical Engineer and lecturer at Liverpool University. At the beginning of WWII he was tasked by the Ministry of Food to organize convoys to feed people in the blitzed towns and cities, using lorries converted to Mobile Kitchens). Four: 1939-45 star, Burma star, Defence and War with miniatures (un-named as issued, recipient stated to be Bernard Myers Waygood) VF. Bernard served in RNR during WWII in the Fleet Air Arm as Navigator. His squadron being on HMS Shah and were responsible for sinking of the Japanese battleship Haguro. In 1952 he joined the Navy and served on HMS Eagle in the Med; his squadron was selected to perform a Coronation flypast, and, during a practice flypast 3 planes collided and 6 Navigators were killed. Included in this lot a large framed photo of HMS Eagle taken the day of the accident and Bernard Waygood's Commission document appointing him Lieutenant RN 1.12.1952 £100-125
