A Georgian Naval officer's 1805 pattern dress sword, straight blade 28" of flat diamond section with no trace of decoration, gilt stirrup hilt with plain pommel and backstrap, embossed anchor on the langets, and sharkskin grip, in its leather scabbard with engraved gilt brass mounts, the locket engraved "LOWTHER, 59 Charing Cross, London", GC (hilt gilt and grip covering slightly worn, small crack to quillon, scabbard leather creased). £300-500
