George VI (1895-1952), King of the United Kingdom 1936-1952, document signed "George R I" as King, 23 February 1938, black ink signature upper centre and seal of the privy council upper left, a pre-printed document with typewritten insertions, being a pardon to George Loveday who had been convicted on 18 December 1937 "failing to allow a pedestrian free passage at a pedestrian crossing and ordered to pay a fine of one pound", the pardon also remitting him for the fine imposed, further signed in black ink to verso by Samuel John Gurney Hoare, 1st Viscount Templewood (1880-1959), folio (33 x 20cm), framed and double glazed, whole approx. size 43.5 x 30.5cm
