A CHARLES I OAK PANEL-BACK OPEN ARMCHAIR, CIRCA 1640. Having a strap-work carved back panel, below a Classical broken pediment with nulled carving, flanked by stiff-leaf carved uprights, the downswept open-arms on inverted-baluster turned front supports, the boarded seat above channel-moulded and bicuspid edge rails, raised on inverted-baluster legs joined by channel-moulded stretchers, 55cm wide x 48cm deep x 106cm high.
