Star lot: An original lithograph titled 'The School Room' by Vanessa Bell issued by the Lincoln Gallery and dating to 1938 featuring young women reading and playing music in pastel tones. This was the largest and most fully developed colour lithograph that Bell ever made. Post Impressionists are highly collectable with Bell's lithographs selling in the thousands.

Vanessa Bell is best known as a Post Impressionist and was active in the early 20th century. A major influence on her painting was that of Matisse and the Intimisme of Bonard and Vuillard. Her use of colour became more adventurous after the 1920's from her meeting with Picasso.
