English School (18th century) - Portrait of young child wearing gold coloured dress with red cloak, with cream accessories holding two cherries in the left hand, with a basket of cherries in the right hand, oval, oil on canvas, 30" x 25.5"

* The work is contained within a carved gilt wood frame, decorated with foliate scrolls and flowers, possibly dating 1780, 1800.

The work has been relined, cleaned, restored and varnished number of times over its history there is old discoloured restoration in various places particularly the background colour in the sky and the tree above the child, also further discoloured restoration and rubbing in the costume, various areas of missing paint which has been disguised with restoration again is now starting to discolour in places the work however does has dirt and discoloured varnish across the surface.
