Star Lot: Harry C. Reid (HRUA) A brilliant original 'Harry C. Reid HRUA' acrylic on board painting titled 'Yard Walks Gable ends- Old Culling Tree St. Belfast'. Features the titular landscape scene portraying a sense of solitude and nostalgia. Rendered in an impressionistic style with expressive brushwork and a keen sense of light and atmosphere. Great achieved of colours with turquoise blue highlights. Signed 'HR' lower left. Housed in a neat wooden gilt frame. Titled, signed and dated '2005' to verso. Along with Ross's Auctioneer sticker.
Harry C. Reid (HRUA) is a well known artist with works fetching into the hundreds at Ross's.

Inspired by the landscape of County Down, Harry C. Reid HRUA produced abstract depictions of local seascapes and landscapes, as well as still life works and figurative studies. His first solo exhibition was in Tower House, Bangor, in 1985, prior Reid was exhibiting with the Royal Ulster Academy of which he was awarded Honorary membership. He also exhibited at the Baytree Gallery and Bell Gallery. Reid's works are included in the University of Limerick and Department of Environment (Northern Ireland) collections.
