Daguerreotype & Ambrotype - A 19th century Victorian family photograph collection for the Fardell Family. To include a series of ambrotypes and daguerreotype. With printed annotation from Kenneth Matheison Fardell (1892-) who served as commander in the Great War and as submariner in the Great War and annotation from the aforementioned mother, Isobel Elsie Fardell who is affectionately referred to as 'Elsiebel'.  The collection comprising of a single daguerratype of James Matheison (b. 1815 - great uncle of I.E. Fardell) five ambrotype to include family members Letitia  Scott (1797-1876 - mother to Letitia Oldfield Scott who married Thomas George Farnell in 1862), Eliza Brunton (1834-1880 whom married Ronald Campbell Macfie who together had Isobel Elsie Farnell who has created hand written annotation to accomaony each photogrpah, retyped by her son Kenneth Matheison Farnell), Henry Swann Oldfield (1799-1887) the father of Elsie Swann Farnell) and a final ambrotype of a Miss A. F. Woollett who is noted as a friend of Letitia Farnell. Two studio portraits depicting Ronald Cambell Macfie (1824-1875), the father of Isobel Elsie (this portrait of Ronald being taken between 1862-1867 before he left Ontario for Scotland in 1866 and a studio portrait of Elsie and Elsiebel taken August, 1867. A contact photo sheet and booklet of George W Fardell taken in 1941. Also to include an unidentified  and a victorian mourning momento miniature watercolour with human hair and bullion to the verso  - identity unknown however resembling the appearance of F. F. Woollett. Each being houses in original tooled leather cases with embossed velvet and gilded interiors. The collection also to include the Fardell family wax seal and a framed lithograph of the family crest. Overall condition - good colour with hand tinted facial features still being vibrant. Daguerreotype to measure approx 120mm x 95mm.
