TWO LATE VICTORIAN GEM SET BROOCHES, the first set with a central oval opal cabochon on a shield shape panel with twist and scrolling decoration to the triple bar brooch, marks rubbed, the second designed as a central circular amethyst within a scalloped surround to the decorative double bar brooch, stamped AJC 9ct, approximate lengths 50mm, approximate total weight 5.6 grams (condition report: there is a small split to one terminal, some nibbles to the amethyst girdle)
