An exquisite antique Edwardian mahogany eight day balloon clock made by Gibson Ltd in France. Features marquetry to front and string inlay throughout. Face features wonderfully ornate filigree centre with stylised number chapters in the French Didot style. Held in a brass case with pierced back, fitted in a wooden balloon frame, held on brass bracket feet. In very good condition, a testament to the period's craftmanship. Little beauty this one.
