WW2 1939-1945, France and Germany Stars, Defence Medal, BWM, 1915 NGSM Yangtze 1949 clasp and QEII Royal Navy LSGC to C.KX526974 I.S. Postgate Ch.M.(E) H.M.S. Tenby (WW2 un-named as issued, Ldg Sto Mech R.N. on NGSM) contact marks from wear, nearly very fine or better, swing mounted as worn.
Sold by the family and never before on the market. Stated he served on the battleship HMS Warspite at the D-Day landings on 6 June 1944, where she was the first ship to open fire on German targets. He also served on HMS London during the Yangtze Incident, where she was heavily engaged with Chinese ground forces and received considerable damage from the Chinese artillery suffering 20-30 casualties.
