A worksplate, MONTREAL LOCOMOTIVE WORKS, 77619, YG, 1950, from a metre gauge Class YG 2-8-2 in the earliest batch of 150, ordered from North American builders, of this huge class used all over the Indian metre gauge system. Montreal built twenty and this may be a tender plate. Cast brass, 6"x4", the front repainted. (Postage Band: B)
