A nameplate ASTLEY from a standard gauge 0-6-0ST built by The Hunslet Engine Co Ltd, Leeds in 1947, works number 3509. Ordered by T. & R. Bower Ltd, for use at their Primrose Hill Collieries, Swillington, Yorkshire. Delivered to the NCB at Primrose Hill in July 1947. In July 1971 it moved to Allerton Bywater workshops and was subsequently sold for scrap in August 1973 to W. H. Arnott, Young of Bradford. Cast brass, 24"x6½", the front repainted. (Postage Band: D)
