Russian Crimea War Period Percussion Musket


12 bore, 41 inch, smoothbore barrel.  Front brass blade sight.  Converted flintlock plate with remains of brass pan.  Russian maker dated 1840.  Heavy, military percussion hammer.  Polished full stock woodwork with cheek piece.  Brass butt plate, trigger guard, side plate and three barrel bands, all retained by steel locking springs.  Steel ramrod.  Butt plate stamped with Russian eagle.  Most brass parts dated 1840.
