WD & HO Wills - Cigarette Cards - 'Safety First' (1934) - a presentation of original hand painted / drawn artwork for five of the cigarette cards. Featuring the artwork pieces titled for the following cards: 'Beware Of Trams Swinging Out At Corners,' 'Do Not Alight From A Car On The Traffic Side,' 'Guard Against Side-Slip,' 'Getting Out Of Tramlines,' and 'Correcting A Skid.' Each piece hand drawn and painted by artists working at Mardon, Son & Hall in the 1930s. Mounted to a custom-made board (made by Mardons in order to later display the pieces) showing the artwork, the final produced cigarette cards and special printed versions of the text to the rear. Unique piece of cigarette card history. Total size: 48cm x 65cm.
