An early 19th century Indian steel barrelled military style flintlock long blunderbuss or musketoon, 43½" overall, slightly swamped bell mouth barrel 28" with octagonal breech and three shallow flutes to the muzzle, slightly rounded Brown Bess lock with swan neck cock, the plate stamped with crown over "GR" and "Tower", varnished fullstock with chequered wrist, the butt carved on one side with floral decoration, with military pattern brass mounts and steel ramrod. GWO & basically GC (heavily rusted patina to lock and barrel, the side plate incomplete). £400-600.
